I've had the word back from the Level 3 support folks that Akamai has said they have fixed the issue up.

Can people please confirm or deny if it's resolved now?

I have problem accessing Vimeo videos. They play fine when embedded but not when accessed from the Vimeo website. The playbar just jumps to the end when play is pressed.
Took a laptop to the office where the Telecom line is and it suffered this issue. Back home on Vodafone everything is fine. In the office all PC s have the same problem.

Thanks in advance for trying to solve this. I have gone through so many flash, java, firefox installs uninstalls to come down that its a Telecom issue... Quite frustrating!

When using TCP Traceroute such as TraceTCP on Windows (FYI you also need WinPCap or Wireshark which includes WinPCap installed too).  What do you get for the results of:

tracetcp av.vimeo.com
tracert (or traceroute) av.vimeo.com
nslookup av.vimeo.com
nslookup whoami.akamai.com

I get the following:

tracetcp.exe av.vimeo.com

Tracing route to 219.88.187.11 on port 80
Over a maximum of 30 hops.

If you could either post or PM me the results you get, we could debug this further as Vimeo has been working fine for me for the last few days.

If you could PM me that info or you could just e-mail me directly at Telecom.  My first name is peter so my e-mail is peter dot my surname which is the same as my geekzone username after dropping the P at Telecom.co.nz.  Plus include the above un-sensored :) and what your phone line number & account number & ip address is then I will forward that through to Akamai.

Plus you said you were using the new Vimeo... What is the "old" vimeo?  Which URLs were you using to access it as it may be going via a different Akamai server?

Can any people please pm me or email their customer details through to me if they are having issues. I've now got tech's from both vimeo and akamai looking at it. As much detail as you can give would be great.

Great :)

A change went in yesterday which seems to have sorted the issue out.  Can anyone else report if they are still having issues?

Sorry, I was away for 2 weeks, but I can report that the Flash-player version is now also working for me. Thanks for the background work with Vimeo.
