Hi there,  I can no longer reach www.vimeo.com via XTra home broadband or mobile 3g - I suspect it's a DNS muckup on telecom side - can someone try the site and see if it responds (been down for 4 days)

Love you long time

It's down for me too. It was already down yesterday.

I was going ring the help desk but as it seems I'm not the only one I am sure Telecom knows about this issue already.

I have the same problem in finding the server Vimeo is on , very frustrating.

I have re set my DNS priority with no luck.

Using the IP address doesn't work.

3G on Telecom doesn't work either.

Sorry I have been on holiday and haven't been posting back.

I've been chasing this up internally with a few different teams over the past week trying to get to the bottom of it.  When I am back on deck next week I will be back onto it.

But it is still being actively worked on to find the true root cause.

Vimeo is hopeless on all NZ ISP's I have tried. I hate it when people use it instead of youtube since it just works so badly compared to youtubes massive infrastucture and caches.

I think you'll find smaller ISP's have congestion issues on international during peak time. I doubt that Telecom or Telstraclear do.

For me Vimeo is working great on Telecom but I think my connection is still FPID (not EUBA) and that it doesn't go near the dreaded caching cluster of fail.

Looks okay now.  I heard it was the Akami servers that Vimeo have out sourced the content delivery to.
