If i wasn't waiting for my vodafone contracts to run out I'd jump ship right now.

No complaints here with my tstick in the deep south everyone else i speak to has had little or no problems as well on xt, nowhere near the situation normal for the competition.

Seems to me the people who made the most noise about the south of taupo outages were latte sipping journalists in Auckland (not that i have anything against lattes).

Am surprised at the amount of hate for telecom on here, i guess far too many here have come up through the ranks, that always leaves a bitter taste.......

I reckon you should talk to a Telecom store manager and check out whether they will pay your disconnection fees from Vodafone.

They haven't advertised anything but as Vodafone have been doing this, Telecom would be mugs not to win you over in this fashion.

I think it was Chameleon an independent agency who did this ad and the new Chrous ad.

@azzaj you should go into store and find out your options. depending on what plan you go on and contract term you could be eligble for an account credit with Telecom to off set any fees with voda.

BarTender: I just saw the ad now as well. And overall I think it was good, I'd put fair money on the fact it was a Saatchi's Special, it certainly had that ring about it.

It wasn't done by Saatchi - it was a small agency who did it. This ad runs for something like 3 weeks before the Saatchi produced XT ads take over.

Paul should be sucking up to users where most pain was felt, maybe Paul had a job interview to go to in the UK.

He was, are you from Auckland by any chance? It was filmed near Queenstown, A lot of the names around Otago are Scottish in origin, Dunedin for instance being the Edinburgh of the South or Dun (down).

Geography lesson over.

It's been said before that some people try their absolute best to find something to complain about, especially when it comes to Telecom.

But this really, truly, takes the cake. To even consider that Telecom would shoot an ad about XT in England defies belief.

Yes, he should have been by a lake in the South Island of NZ. Which he was - what on earth would make you think this was shot in England?

The ad was filmed by a lake in the South Island. Your comments are wrong and misleading.

I assumed that he saw one of the bits in the press that said filmed at Glenorchy.
