I have installed PC Suite 5.22 and it has fixed the issue on my 6230. The appointments go across and appear on the correct days, and more importantly the correct times. Its definitely nowhere near as refined as PC Suite 6.6 but it works.
I've been watching this forum for a month now (since daylight saving struck). What is clear is that there is a problem with the current version of PC Suite synchronising non-recurring appointments with the current versions of Outlook and Exchange. It is also clear that daylight saving should not be turned off on computers in a corporate network (despite Nokia's advice). Why the problem occurs is not clear, but unless a solution is found, Nokia will continue to lose customers.
Some observations based on less than perfect recall of how things have been in the past may be of some help to Nokia in solving this.
item1
I got my phone (a 6100) during the summer (daylight saving) of 2003-04. It behaved perfectly for that summer and for last summer.
item2
I recall noticing that sometime last summer or the one before when I exported appointments to Excel and imported them to Outlook on another computer, they shifted by an hour. I think it was only with non-recurring appointments. I then found that it happened even re-importing the appointments into the Outlook Calendar from which they were exported.
item3
I have experimented with a fully patched copy of Outlook 2003 and that Excel export/import problem no longer occurs. However that coincides with the period during which I have had the problem with my Nokia phone. Could it be that the PC Suite software is compensating for that "feature" of Outlook that Microsoft now seem to have removed (fixed?).
Anyway, for ours and Nokia's sake, i just hope that PC Suite 6.7 arrives quickly and that it solves the problem.
I received an anonymous link to the version 6.7 install file. I am very pleased to advise the world that THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED WITH VERSION 6.7. I tried to reply to your message directly but your profile rejects personal messages.
Some strange effects with existing appointments created during the problem period, but all new appointments, whether created on the computer or the phone, sync at the correct time on the other device.
The best way I've found to handle all the rubbish Calendar entries on my phone after this release is to set the sync direction to 'from outlook to mobile phone only' and not both directions. This stops errors made by PC Suite making their way back to the master Calendar and Address Book in Outlook.
This allowed me to delete all Calendar and Contact Entries on the phone (using the phones delete all functionality), and then resync, obtaining a very clean and accurate Calendar and Contacts on the phone.
It also allows me to sync with two computers - my work and home machines, and have the phone contain Calendar entries from both machines, but not have my personal entries visible on my work machine. Work is for work, and privacy is important.
This means though that new entries into the Calendar and Phone Book must be made on the PC.
I learned a big lesson when an earlier version of PC Suite 6 duplicated all my Calendar and Contacts entries to the phone, corrupting it, and then synced it back to the PC, corrupting the master copies. It took use of a number of utilities to remove the dupes.
No way am I letting PC Suite sync back to the PC any more. Very much cleaner this way.
PC Suite v 6.7 for Nokia phones is available for download
http://www.nokia.com/pcs IS the palce to watch for the latest updates to Nokia PC Suite, as was earlier mentioned. Obviously there's a delay Nokia updating Asia Pacific mirrors, if they do at all as I note 5.8 is the last version of PC Suite for the pre XP machines, it's still 5.22 on the AP page.

My Nokia PC Suite 6.7 announced to me today that it wanted me to update to release 6.70.22, with important bug fixes….
With great nervousness I accepted the proposal from my computer, upgraded then tested the result – no problems with sync (should I have never doubted those nice developers at Nokia?).
Indeed, mine did too. The Nokia Europe site announces that the bug fixed was with the Filebrowser running under Windows XP SP1.
I'm pleased with the new version overall - it fixed the phone backup, the daylight savings bug, and it doesn't seem to mind how many times I get out of my PC's range with Bluetooth switched on - it happily disconnects and reconnects as many times as I want. The only thing I still can't do is send txts from the PC using Bluetooth.
