Champion, Cheers
Is anyone who has one of these able to confirm the TAC (first eight digits of the IMEI)? I'd want to use with multiple carrier sims (here & overseas) so interested in which frequencies this device variant supports.
EDIT: Sorry, this is for the B618

Currently on Skinny 120GB service. Address checker shows 240GB services is not available at my address. I have contacted both Skinny and Spark to confirm and they say definitely not available. Skinny state " This is due to cell tower capacity in your area and I'm afraid there is no way for us to fast track this" however....
I'm in Martinborough and my understanding is we have a single tower that serves the town. gis.geek.nz shows the tower in the center of town, with one a few km north.Spark website shows 4.5G available in Martinborough. Currently have external aerials set up pointing to the tower in the middle of town that I assume the 240Gb service is also provided from. My mobile service is also with Skinny and 4G is provided by this tower. Tower is approximately 1.5km away.
If I choose an address about 500 metres from where I am, between me and the tower, and put it into the address checker it says the 240GB service is available to them. So, if the service is available to them does this mean there is in fact capacity in our area?
Some questions:
Thanks,
Dan

For the 240GB plan, you need to be in range of the Ultra coverage.
i know this was updated on the spark side of things to define the two different constraints but unsure about the skinny side - I'll try to speak to folk over there tomorrow.
if our guys have already checked it out in detail, there is very little i can do to sway the odds for you.
The coverage is designed in a way that it doesn't negatively affect those further out from the tower.
4.5G is not inherently required for the 240GB plan.
