FineWine:

After adding the second e to @ee.spark.co.nz the other day they have now added another wrinkle by adding a second o to info.

@hio77

I have exactly the same situation - I have received all these too.

The trickle is amping up into a flow - now getting around 10 per day. Some people might say โ€˜mehโ€™ but Iโ€™m getting very pissed off with this.

i don't mean to poke the bear.... but it's been almost a week since i've heard the words spam and xtramail in the same sentence.

Is that to say things have settled down (changes have happened so it should have..)?

Sorry, no, not completely
Yesterday four made it to my Outlook inbox, and two more in my Xtra Webmail SPAM folder
As Outlook POP3 is currently my main interface, Xtramail doesn't get to learn from the ones I would mark as SPAM if I was using webmail โ˜น

I only started seeing these (from infoo@ee.spark.co.nz) a week or so ago, the former tsunami is being caught upstream.

Sooo ... good and not so good!

Fair to say that it does seem to have died down - not in the last week but in the past couple of days.

If this is a fix at Sparkโ€™s end Iโ€™m really grateful for your role in this. Thanks.

On a watching brief.

Good, it's having a positive impact.

There were a few changes, and some further ones thanks to the help from everyone here for the examples.

it's never going to stop all together, spam's job is to get past... but majority of it should be caught not leading through in volumes mentioned here.

I have been waiting a full 7 days. Did not want to jinx ๐Ÿ‘น myself or @hio77. But the good news is I have not received any spam, at all, since the morning of the 23rd Feb ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

I may have started this topic on 22nd January but I am optimistic others have finished it ๐Ÿคž.

I know spam is an ever lasting issue but hopefully the boffin ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿ”ฌ guys ๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿ”ฌ have developed a suitable and very adaptive program/algorithm that just requires tweaking to keep ahead of the Crim's .

A BIG THANKS ๐Ÿ‘ to @hio77 for all the follow up and follow through and thanks to the back-end teams at Spark and SMX. Please pass these thanks on @hio77 to all those guys.

Cheers ๐Ÿท

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I'll pass on the appreciation, it's the folk on the backend and the others who also watch here that have closed this out though - I've been extremely busy with my actual work to chase this up much!

I have started receiving daily spam again too.

When I try to add addresses to my Blacklist, xtra tells me that my Blacklist list is full and that I should delete some addresses. WT*?

This new batch is already with the folk. My main contact is about to go on holiday.

we have got the correct people looking after these though :)

Anything logged through the helpdesk will land in their lap.

I've gotta confirm what it is, but pretty sure there is an inbox for spam mails..

@hio77

Is that inbox for us to use? If so, how do we use it? Cheers
