Our VDSL installation was done around end of August.
I just notice my download speed change since. Not sure what had happen.
DLM seem to be stay the same.

don't know what cause the speed drop... maybe someone could help.

Most of the problems with speed are likely to be related to internal wiring issues. Read this discussion to find out more about this. Your ISP is not intentionally slowing you down today (unless you are on a managed plan). Also if this is the school holidays it's likely you will notice slower than usual speed due to more users online.

 



 

A master splitter is required for VDSL2 and in most cases will improve speeds on DSL connections. Regular disconnections can be a monitored alarm or a set top box trying to connect. If there's an alarm connected to your line even if you don't have an alarm contract it may still try to connect so it's worth checking.

I have experienced a massive speed drop today.

I was around 33mbps down and 9.8mbps up, have been since VDSL first came out.

Today around 10am it dropped down to 9716kbps down and 7202kbps up. Very annoying.

INP: 1.00 DS, 0.50 US
Delay: 8.00 DS, 8.00 US
Depth: 41  DS, 0.00 US
R: 16 DS, 0 US

Any idea what has gone wrong? Or should I just wait it out for the DLM to sort it out. I thought I was paying for speeds better than ADSL!

Update: When the phone is in use it goes up to 21,819kbps down and 10,332 up. How is this even possible?

I rang Telecom and they are going to issue me a replacement router. But what if the same thing happens? Have there been any other reports of this happening. It is a Telecom issued Technicolor TG589vn v2.
