Just after midnight today and last night internet went down.

About 3 to 4 in mourning it was back up.

Done it again. Dsl signal is fine, it just won't log into telecom.

Error msg on modem is link idle timed out, when press connect it comes up, unable to bring up link.

Line speed on modem is showing 15 kbps down and just over 1 up, so stuff on chorous side looking good, just telecom won't let me log onto internet.

And I'm not downloading heaps of data, just playing card games.

Only been happening last couple nights, see if it comes back up later this mourning by it's self again.

- If you know your connection is to an exchange, cabinet or conklin

 


 

- If your connection is to a ULL or wholesale service

Most of the problems with speed are likely to be related to internal wiring issues. Read this discussion to find out more about this. Your ISP is not intentionally slowing you down today (unless you are on a managed plan). Also if this is the school holidays it's likely you will notice slower than usual speed due to more users online.

 



 

A master splitter is required for VDSL2 and in most cases will improve speeds on DSL connections. Regular disconnections can be a monitored alarm or a set top box trying to connect. If there's an alarm connected to your line even if you don't have an alarm contract it may still try to connect so it's worth checking.

All going good now and I haven't changed anything, just started up by itself. Two nights in row same behaviour, does telecom shut down at midnight or something. Modem stats with it going,
