Haven't rung up about it yet but got my Spark bill and was charged $5 extra.
Thought if was on same plan was suppose to get $5 discount for year?
I'm on fibre 100/20 and got charged $115.

Got $10 discount which getting for fibre 100 for year but not the $5 discount for October price increase. Has this happened to everybody?

Have you tried asking Spark if it was a mistake?

Different subject. I've now got my bill and there's no $5 discount on it. I haven't changed plan.

Other thread was to say what's suppose to happen, I started this thread to say it hasn't happened in my case. Will try ringing Spark when they're open.

Hmm yeah mine we up $5 this month as well, I thought it was supposed to be delayed, but didn't pay too much attention to the dates, was a year or something wasn't it?

I actually filled in this: http://www.spark.co.nz/help/billing/manage/how-can-i-dispute-or-query-a-charge-on-my-spark-bill/  It shows up on as part of the Help section.  But after submitting may be mobile related?  Who the hell knows, it doesn't say anything about mobile on it, so I'll see what happens.  I'll give it 24 hours, then call them.

Sept 2017

But per original thread should show a $5 charge and rebate on same bill, however I doubt it can work out how to apply a $15 discount based on sign up deal and they probably see it as a grandfather plan now the caps have an increase and all reflect it

Likely part of the t&c used in the past to modify plan with notification aka the press release

Yeah mine has:

Unlimited Data Naked Broadband - Fibre100 01.10.16 - 31.10.16 $104.98

Under the detail then:

The total you need to pay is $104.98 - So obviously the bit that is supposed to apply the discount isn't working.  I haven't changed my plan since I went on fibre last year.

Just rung them up.

They are aware of the issue and there will be a double credit on next bill, and also said it wasn't just me.

I'll pay the extra this month and hopefully it's sorted next bill.

Not the OP, but update on this.  I've just received this month's bill, and while I have a 'full' credit of $5 for the current month as promised , I've only received a partial credit of $1.93 for the previous month.  Looks like it is only for a part of the month (12 days), even though I was charged the full $114.99 last month

Sorry but I find it funny that fibre users are getting agitated over $5 per month with the speeds they get. Try to remember what it was like when you had ADSL2 speeds and you were almost paying as much.

I find it "funny" you felt the need to comment on it. I don't see any particular agitation, I see people asking if other people have a similar issue.

Just had a quick live-chat with Spark:

When you receive your bill next month, the credits will balance out.  Credits were applied but not in time to balance out with billing cycles
.

Just checked mine, and it does have the credit applied. I have just moved to fibre, and see that they are still charging a wire maintenance fee of $5 per month. Should they still be charging that? Or does that cover my own telephone wiring in the house , which plugs into the ONT box? I don't see much point in this fee with fibre, if the phone wiring is now totally separate from the ONT?

How long have you had fiber? My M-in-laws wire maintenance vanished after about two months.
