No - issue is with Spark/Yahoo. It's posted on Sparks status page.

thanks for updates. There was nothing at 9 00am today but now see status updates on Spark and facebook. Better late than never but 12 hours late is stretching it a bit...

If it helps anyone, I am able to access my xtra email in Outlook using IMAP, but I am not able to access it in Thunderbird using POP mail today. In case it is significant - I changed my IMAP settings in Outlook a month or so ago to the new IMAP settings Spark recommends as found here: https://www.spark.co.nz/myspark/myemail/emailchanges/ These are the settings needed for when spark migrates to SMX.

Today my yahoo email accounts (separate accounts to my xtra mail) are a bit hit and miss to access in POP mail also. Re-trying will work on my yahoo acounts, but still getting the an error message with xtra account in POP mail.

It went down about 11 pm last night as I kept getting login pop ups in outlook. Although that isn't uncommon with xtra email. It is amazing people use it for mission critical stuff. But many people don't want to pay extra for a domain and email hosting.

POP working for me now. Would like to know how it took so long to filter down and start the fix process.

There is a work around posted in the first post here: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=205314

ignore all the haters later on in the post - seems the original poster was correct as the settings here do still work while "proper settings failed"
