My diary has just alerted me that i'm just into final month of my Spark contract, so i'm good to switch to BigPipe :-)

I assume that I need to give 30 days notice, so it will make sense for me to sign up for BigPipe with a start date after the end of my contract and then notify Spark now of my change over date? (I just want to ensure I don't pay for an extra month or get pinged for a $199 early termination fee!).

I just did the same swap two months ago, Spark to Big Pipe. On UFB unlimited 100/20.

Now I would go to Skinny, except that they require that you buy their modem/router. Either purchase on no contract, or sign up to 24 months and it's free. That does not suit me I want BYO router and no contract.

I talked to/emailed Spark sales person to see if they would do a better deal, not really. So I emailed no thanks, I want to end service and change provider.

They weren't too interested and eventually told me I had to switch, "the new provider gives notice through Chorus."  With Big Pipe you would need to set a longer set up time (nominate a date).

I threw my hands up and just switched, happened the next day didn't change any settings just rebooted router when it stopped working.  I emailed spark what had happened and a bit of back and forth (Oh no Big Pipe switched me over without 30 days notice sorry), last invoice from Spark was $0.00.
