Any of the guru's know if there is a issue with connectivity to the US at the mo ? Play D3 on the US servers, usually 200-250ms, but at mo is 750-2000ms.. started yesterday. Aus servers OK, but is a ghost town .. Used a trace route program to ping the servers in the US, and interestingly got the same 200-250ms I see normally ?

On Spark UFB 100/30

Cheers Chris

Is it only on D3 your noticing this?

I'm not aware of any particular issue, graphs here are looking solid.

Tried to upload an image of a trace route.. seems to be a weak link ?

And yes seems to be D3 specific, though may not notice latency streaming etc ?

That traceroute looks normalish.

The loss on mdr is normal, It's a edge router where ICMP is heavily de-prioritize. If it was causing issues, you would see the same loss carried on through all the follow on hops.

I'm not sure you are tracing to a US server there. takes an interesting path. May just be badly named rdns though.

ICMP latency seems on point - for reference is sitting at 250ms on Vodafone.

those servers will de-prioritise ICMP packets so its common to loose them there or have high pings there.

your unlikely to have a 100/30 plan either

so in game @ 750+ ms, and out of game at 250 ish.. game issue ?

The IP address is out of a support post on blizz website to identify latency issues, so assume right..

I'm also noticing high ping (5k+ ms) issues with WoW when I get sharded on US servers. However, when I do a traceroute the results come back normal.

Heres the WinMTR result to a WoW server in Texas. I got it from the list here https://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/wowserverips

Performance back to usual as of last night.. had a similar occurrence when first swapped from VF to Spark.. Wondered if I had made a bad mistake shifting, but a day later all good.. Hoping just a random event..

Cheers for the interest.laughing

I did WinMTR test on all servers, seems like only Texas server is giving me packet loss. All other US WoW servers are fine.
