I joined Bigpipe fibre in February and had the 100 download 100 upload plan and I put a order on bigpipe website to change plan to 200 download and 20 upload on 13 March and so far the plan has not changed.

How long does it take for bigpipe to change my fibre plan and does it have to go through Chorus?

Highly likely the Queues for speed upgrades are just a little busy with everything going on. I'll have a chat with some folk tomorrow.

Yup, lets be honest though it's not the remote working that will drive the usage up. it's all the other things :)

Folk don't need that extra stress though, this is just spark doing a gesture to give a little relief. they probably already have a cat or child all over them while they are trying to actively work from home...

I got email confirmation from bigpipe yesterday to confirm that the plan has changed to 200/20 and ive been doing many speed tests on chorus.co.nz different servers and also speedtest.net and it doesn’t seem i get the speed of over 130 max i got for download compared to my other plan it was consistent 100/100 speeds. Does anyone know why i dont get the 200 download or anywhere near it?

test on ethernet to prove your connection is working fine, then work on the wifi issues

i suspect there will be zero issues with the connection speed but your issue lies with your devices

I have tried ethernet and its getting download speeds of 74 I suspect its due to using an old laptop on ethernet and dont have other devices that have ethernet port to test it.

until then i suggest your issue is with your devices and your wifi not that you have the wrong plan speed.

Then why did i get full speed 100/100 on my previous plan but not on this new plan 200/20

Maybe it takes few days for speed to adjust after it was changed?

because your devices cant do 200mbps down, and 130mbps is greater than your previous 100mbps plan so its showing you your plan has been upgraded but you just cant prove what it actually does without an ethernet connection.

you have a wifi issue, be it your device, phone/laptop or your router/access point thats causing you problems.
