I am currently going round in circles to resolve my problem.

I re-signed to my flexi mytime plan in January after being told that there would be similar plans available in the XT network.  This entitled me to a $299 voucher for a new phone, I asked at the time if this still entitled me to a Plan discount of a phone and was assured that this would be in adition.

New plans become available and the plan which most matches what I currently play is the Combo plan +$6 text and $6 data, However I am unable to use my voucher this plan as you can't sign up for 24 months.  Only option is to sign up to One rate 50 then add on txt and data, this would add a minimum of $12 to my current bill.  However if I was a new customer this would entitle me to a $80 rebate of a W705, with my voucher $299, therfore my voucher is really worth $219.  However you try and use the voucher it is never worth $299 as you have to take of the normal phone rebate to get it's true value.

After contacting Telecom I was told I could sign up to data for 24 months to validate my voucher and then use the combo plan.  After getting my phone on Saturday morning with this agreement I waited to be connected.  After a long waite I contacted Telecom only to be told that what I wanted to do was not possible.

Since then I have beeen going round in circles trying to resolve this.

I am wondering why there have not been more complaints over the true value of the vouchers and also the way people are being forced into plans so they can make use of them.

Yeah, kinda sucks.

But in the end of the day, it's either these plans or stay on CDMA. Of course you could go to another provider too.

If you look further down the front page on these forums, you will see that several people had mentioned how new plans really don't do it for them.

My wife presented her voucher at a store and was told it was not valid because she hadn't resigned before the XT network was launched....

Uh how did we get it in the first place.... Pissed off but she paid the full $600 for the touch screen phone.

Thats been my only real gripe so far.
