So, Why, on Big Time is the internet being routed to another provider?
It would appear to be named Compass Communications or iprolink.co.nz
Heres an example tracert to google.com:
C:\Documents and Settings\*****>tracert google.com
Tracing route to google.com [74.125.19.103]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 6 ms 1 ms 1 ms 192.168.0.1

I noticed the iprolink.co.nz ip is the same as my gateway in the router,
so why is Telecom routing traffic through compass?
