NZ announced a trading halt on Telecom Corp of New Zealand Ordinary Shares (TEL) pending announcement by the company.

I will modify the subject and update this post with more information when we know exactly what's going on.

Could it be that Telecom will enter the Content Delivery Network business (CDN)? Just posted about AAPT and EdgeCast launching a service in Australia...

They wouldn't place a halt on trading due to content delivery. They are either buying or selling something big.

You never know - they say it can impact revenues, so starting a CDN business would be something big.

Rumours also include a possible AAPT sale, or lower profit related to Crown Fiber...

Edgecast already has a presence in Australia (POP in Sydney), so I don't think it'll be a game changer. It sounds like they've just signed a peering agreement or something.

Seling AAPT shouldn't hit revenues that much, $100 million/year is small fry - especially in the Australian market.
