Yesterday I used about 100MB but all I did was go to some websites to read the news and no one else was home in my house and my wifi uses wpa2 and i have up to date antivirus and windows updates are disabled so I'm just wondering if anyone has had unusually high readings over the last few days? I wasn't tracking my data with 3rd party software so I can't compare, but has anyone compared telecom's usage meter with your software readings over the last few days? Has telecom's usage meter been correct?

When you mean 'a couple of websites' - could you give examples? it is quite easy for a few megs to be pulled down the tubes; a few heavily flash based advertisements for example being one of the biggest culprits I've seen, audio/video loading in the background so that when you hover your mouse over it starts playing smoothly etc.

All I can really suggest is maybe install 'click 2 flash' and see how things go; keep a focus on which sites are pulling down stuff in the background etc.

This happens to us sometimes, apparently just checking our email uses 20+mb some days! i think the usage meter is flawed.

I suggested you have a look in the existing threads, this has been discussed before.
