gzt: Testing quick reply in Chrome
gzt: Testing quick reply in Webview
Unsure how helpful this is going to be in isolation; I'm really not that sure what I'm looking for! I know basic HTML only...

Span class "_f_message" vs "f_replymessage" in the previous screenshot??
Edge android suffers it.
That is until you 'view desktop site' mode. Then it's all small.
So it's the scaling/viewport switching in and out between replies it appears.
Occurs with Firefox mobile on Android.
Both viewing and posting.
Interestingly, when I create a quick reply, the first 2 lines are standard text, but after that about double size.
But only when I create a reply.
After posting, the entry in the forum is correctly sized.
I think this is due to Chrome's "Font Boosting" feature - and "Font Inflation" on Firefox. It tries to increase font size on mobile devices when certain conditions are met. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be able to do this consistently enough for a seamless experience, hence the issues we are seeing.
This is a good summary of the feature: https://ux.stackexchange.com/questions/80931/is-font-boosting-good-ux.
Unfortunately, if you turn off the feature in the browser or by using CSS, then all Geekzone text will be very small on mobile devices. One solution may be to define the font sizes in CSS using em/rem or vw/vh rather than px.
Interesting. Thanks for the links, I will check it out.
