freitasm:

Thank you everyone for your comments so far. My question was actually about design - not feature.

Well design wise I think its really nice. Looks like an upgrade.. something like geekzone 2.0

I like it, a couple of tweaks I'd suggest ..

- Highlight the current section in the main menu.
- Right align some elements eg: search
- Line up the first columns content vertically with the other columns
- Perhaps style the textboxes/inputs and buttons for login and search (not shown)

Example:

I quite like the new look - but I've yet to see how ordinary threads looks like (the most important part of a forum :) )

It would be nice to see a screenshot of the whole page freitasm, or are you only after feedback about the page header?

Great work Phil (redjungle), as always!

Just because it is an old Paypal account - created before the option of having multiple currencies was an option.

Currently I have issues with getting the 'What are you doing?' and 'Search' fields mixed up. I know, I know you would think I would know which is which by now, but alas I keep on trying to search via the 'What are you doing?' field. I think it's possibly because of the size of the fields. Will the Search be more predominant than the 'what are you doing?' in the new version?

Cheers

Like the general design and yay for the square corners!

If it's "fixedwidth" to 1024px like the new trademe and most new sites however I'll be rather disappointed, may as well sell the real computer and use the eeepc for everything!

Definitely keen on a mobile version, Geekzone is great at putting mobile browsers through their paces.

How about fixing new so it works like most other forums, in that it shows new posts that you have not read on a thread by thread basis? I keep missing out on things because all the new images dissappear after a while.

And how about only sending one email about new posts untill I go back to that thread and read it? Sometimes I get 20 or so for a single thread in the inbox.

Go for it then. Notice how we don't actually block content if you don't pay? Yes, it's still "free", just with ads. Can you take the ads out of your magazine when you buy it?

No, I didn't think so.
