There may also be something going on with my forum post notifications. I'm not sure. I just noticed it. I don't seem to be getting any but it could also be my email service.

I just experienced my first reCAPTCHA issue. Up until now I haven't noticed it at all but when I just tried to post a private message, I got an error that the message had been blocked because I had an ad blocker enabled and hadn't played the CAPTCHA game (though no images were visible). However, when I tried posting a second time, it worked normally. No complaints, just mentioning this for the sake of information.

 

 

Go to the reCAPTCHA test page and follow the instructions. What score do you see?

Score is 9. I was testing private mails yesterday and it suddenly started working correctly right in the middle so I assumed you had done something to fix it.

Funny. I was sending a series of test PMs and getting the CAPTCHA error every time. Then suddenly it started working normally. It was right around 1 pm yesterday.

Just a side note: I was doing the tests with @darthkermit and he reported the same issue I was having with the CAPTCHA error.

I have also had the same error, has happened twice. Retrying both times worked.

Suspect it is related to the time between clicking on the button to send or reply to a PM, and the time that you click Send.

Will send some test messages to Rikkitic now.

The test option reports 9 for me. Currently using mobile data. Will see what it reports when I get home.


Edit.

Composing and sending a message as quickly as possible worked just fine. Waiting approximately 5 minutes between clicking Compose message and actually sending it caused the error.

So by the above test i'd infer the following... a bot would be less likely to hit this capture than a user, as the bot would send instantly not spend 5 mins on writing a quality response.

 

thus your catching slow people rather than bots?

As i stated in the other thread, i use adblock however, i subscribe to make up for that fact and to support the community i spend far too long in.

 

 

 

Chrome, Version 73.0.3683.103 (Official Build) (64-bit).

 

I get score 0.9 if i click the button straight away, so it's not a script missing.

 

 

 

It's literally just waiting 5 mins to cause a zero score...
