What an awesome prize, when I read the details I was shocked at the amount of goodies being given away

If I won this package I would share it with my teenage boys, who are leaving me soon to move to the other side of the country. As we all know technology is knowledge and knowledge is power. My boys currently have an old desktop computer that intermittantly breaks down and I have to spend a few days fixing it back up lol we have never had the cash for bright shiny new toys so this would really make their day(and year! for that matter!) Never in a million years would I be able to afford one of these items much less the whole package! and these would ensure my boys have a portable option.

I usually work at a tertiary institution helping remove barriers for disadvantaged students - however currently on maternity leave! I would like to give one of these laptops to a deserving student perhaps as part of a small scholarship they have to apply for. I can think of a dozen deserving students to be honest!

I plan to share. A lot!

The two items I’d love to keep would be the HP Touch to give to my wonderful husband, and one of the laptops for myself.

All the other items I’d give away to local charities and organizations that could use some new technology. Some of these include the Pregnancy Care Center and the Children’s Advocacy Center.

The Pregnancy Care Center not only counsels expecting mothers, but offers classes in English, Basic Computer Skills, Resume Writing, Self Presentation, and others to help struggling women find jobs.

The Children’s Advocacy Center provides more than shelter for troubled youth. They clothe, love, and care for any child that needs it, and they do this all based on donations from the golden hearts of our community.

My husband and I proudly support these organizations by attending their banquets, donating money and items whenever possible. It’s one of the small ways we’re able to give back to our community, thus making the world we live in, a better place.

The items we keep for ourselves will also be put to use for volunteer work. We both design and manage websites, several of which we provide free of charge for charitable organizations. Along with the design, we donate web hosting and much of our time. I use my computer weekly to print labels for one of these organizations as well.

Know these prizes would be put to good use, and we'd be thrilled to help spread the magic!

For the past year I had been visualising & discussing my NEW Computer. It would have touch screen & it would have an Enourmous monitor so that I don't have to squint & strecth my neck to see the print size on the current 17" monitor.
Then your email arrived & there it was being offered to me.
So many thanks for that.
It has more than I was aking for. What a difference this will make to my life & eye sight.
As for the extras. Well soooo many people to give them to.
Local literacy group would really use a laptop.
I could use the amchine to teach 'oldies' how to keep in contact with oversaes family at Christmas.
We would be able to read the screen so easily.
So thanks to you, Hp & Miscrosfot for realisng my dream.

This package would get me back into mobile DJ-ing again. My regular lappy has gone on the blink and is now just being used to put my cups of coffee on. That touchsmart pc would be just the tonic i need to get into my music mixing and remixing.

I would give one laptop my mum so she can increase her pc skills and another laptop to my kid brother who's in high school and would be handy for his studies etc.

I am very excited about this package. I have played around with the HP Touchsmart and it is very very nice. I am hoping to give 1 or 2 of the laptops to my Autistic sons special needs classroom - they can really use some up todate equipment.

I think it's because so many of the sites are looking for the person giving to charities and organizations; on some sites, the sweepstake should have been named: what charity/organization will you share with.

I'm not a sour grape when it comes to losing because trust me, I lose often and at many things...that's not my problem and I'm really okay with that...it's the competing against people that are vowing to share with charities and organizations that really upset me (except for maybe the small congregations, small "just getting started charity organizations; those I can understand).

Here's why it bugs me; If HP wanted to give to these larger charities and organizations don't you think that maybe, just maybe they would have done it themselves and had their own tax write offs? Also, it would be saving them those additional checks to cover your end of the taxes? Come on, the point of sharing is to share with other less fortunate individuals. You know, the common person that works hard, barely pays their bills or can pay thier bills but can't do anything extra, can't afford to put their kids in extra curricular activities and such...these are the people that could benefit. I mean, am I wrong? Should't we have a chance? Are the "30 and above students that have children of their own, working full time jobs for minimum wages, have no insurance and would never even dream of having such a gift" be just as deserving? Don't you think that these people would feel the magic just the same?

There are a few sites, like this one (thank you) that are giving it the fair way. There were a few others, but the majority of the blogs participating (again, not all of them) are giving to people that are giving to charities and organizations and hospitals and other places like that...again (as I feel I should clarify just in case someone gets the wrong message out of this comment). I just think that not as many people are participating because they're tired of it too.

just my two cents...don't figure I'll win anyways and if I do, wow!!!! Should I be fortunate enough to win this terrific prize I would give one notebook to the nurse/caregiver at the Eastern Star Retirement and Nursing home that cared for my mother so unselfishly for 17 years; including volunteering to do things for her on his day off.

When my mother passed away, I gave him a nice Seiko watch to replace the taped up plastic model that he was wearing. Knowing him as I do, he would use the notebook on his rounds to further spread his joy among the residents.

I would also give the entertainment notebook, media receiver and entertainment DVD’s to the nursing home for their use in creating a theater room for the enjoyment of their 270 residents. The home is a not for profit facility that provides loving care for all who live there. This donation would provide a further upgrade that would be enjoyed by many people.

The only items that I would keep are the HP TouchSmart desktop and printer as they would keep replace my very old HP desktop and HP printer.

This is a wonderful gesture by this website and HP. Tis the season of giving and it's a wonderful idea to have the winner further share the sponsors’ generosity with worthy causes.

I think that there are lots of people who feel that blog contests are not worth the time they take to enter. Of course with the HP Magic Giveaway prize package this is definately not true. My fingers are crossed - I hope I win the HP Magic Giveaway.

Thanks for putting this on guys. Will be more than happy to donate at least part of this to a local family doctor that I have been working with here in Michigan. I know he could use it and with the economy the way it is, there is no way he could afford something like this. Thanks again.
