Hopefully I might be able to make this one. A function for those of us with young kids would be cool.

BigHammer: To be fair, Mauricio actually stated in his original post "reply here to receive email notifications when we update the post with more information.", not "click 'watch this topic' to get more information". So you can understand why people are actually posting. Does it really matter? :)

So can we reply here saying we want to be notified or shouldn't we do this? Getting confused here.
(I would like to be notified by the way).

"Watch this Topic" sends me an email every time someone replies to this which is really annoying for my inbox so I don't want to do that.

Here is how it will work this time:

- Sometime in January 2010 we will open registrations.
- People who replied here (or watched this topic) will be contacted via email and allowed to register first.
- After 48 hours we will open registrations to all other users who registered on Geekzone before 1st January 2010 and had at least two posts.
- After 72 hours we will open registrations to all other users who registered on Geekzone after 1st January 2010 (up to a maximum of 15 tickets).

This will ensure genuine Geekzone users don't miss out the events.

You get that if you have replied to this topic anyhow. "Watch this topic" add an invisible post that only mods and admin can see without you having to reply to the topic.

Regardless... You can reply here or watch the topic - then click the unsubscribe link in the email. Same effect as far as I am concerned (i.e. to give early access to those interested).
