I was quite careful.  See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1090240/how-do-you-set-autocommit-in-an-sql-server-session.

Or are you referring to some other aspect of my post?   (I am, of course, presuming, quite presumptuously, that you are replying to me in the first instance)

No big deal Maurico, not the worst thing that could have happened. Just ask Evernote :)

i've got this habbit of munging the syntax of UPDATE then fixing it after done, as I feel uncomfortable having WHERE in the end, especially if I get distracted.

I did a similar thing once, I was halfway through writing an update statement in management studio on a live DB when something on my desk fell over and hit F5 causing it to execute... good times were had.

Always
- Write and test scripts on dev and beta before ever running something direct on live
- Write select and where clause first then change to update later.
- Use transactions

Just received a email with these words:

what a load of crap. The reality is you probably got hacked.
How can you reset people's passwords by accident while working on a feature?
Go sell this lie somewhere else.

Just to make it clear... If this was the case I wouldn't restore the password to what they were before.

What's more disturbing is the person sending this email is in the IT business, selling financial related services. I know I am not getting my stuff from him.

DuncanMcC: There is a wee bug (IMO) in that if you *also* have your name in the login field, then clicking the send button does not send an e-mail.

That would have been it. I'd call that a bug. Username automatically filled in by LastPass... couldn't quite figure out what was going on, but definitely wasn't working. Didn't think the one form would have anything to do with the other.
