Winning this would be excellent. The 'goodies' would be divided amongst my two teens for school, the wee notebook for myself and the rest to my local branch of an organisation that is a benovalent society, raising funds for other charities - Freemasons.

Hi,

As soon as I get my WhoIs finger working, I'll get you those 5 names and enter this contest. Randumb, yep this is the contest

4 me. I had to check out your Privacy policy before I signed up, because I already have a media satellite in my bedroom, my

government has attempted to trick me out and I owe my 1st born to Denmark, so if you're trying to make money selling me

....;<).  This may be illegal in 2 states in the U.S. and in several other countries, but so am I.

As for where this is going, I can't beat the guy with the street kids story.

I will do one of the following with HP Magic Giveaway.

1) Donate 2 laptops to http://www.sphoorti.org .
2) I use the 2 laptops for my village. These laptops can be very useful for the people of my village where they can use it freely anytime. I will also get the Internet connection for them which will be much more useful for the students. And also our institute has a very good service, e-Sagu: An IT based Personalized Agricultural Extension System, for farmers. Most of the farmers in our village can access this service using these laptops. It will be of great use for the farmers and the students.
In brief, I will use the 2 laptops  i) to familiarize the village people in using computers and internet, ii) to provide the training freely (this may take some time to regularize) iii) to provide free printing services iv) to provide free e-mail fecilities for the people who have their relatives staying outside the village(mostly abroad and longer distance).

Currently the above ideas have been in my mind for a long time. But as I can't afford to buy the required accessories alone, I have been waiting for funds from my friends to implement the above. Currently I am studying...so I am not able to buy the computers...Adding to the above laptops I will try to collect some funds from my friends and buy some more accessories to make it  successful.

Thank You
Srinivasarao

What an amazing prize package.  Watched both videos and am very impressed!

My sister has come back to New Zealand after a stint in Australia.  She has come back with some physical & psychological problems, but finds solace in using my home PC.  As much as I love my sis', I'd give her my 1 year-old PC & keep the HP Magic Giveaway Prize for myself!!

That's what I call 'quasi-charitable'.  Wouldn't you agree?

I'd keep one laptop for me as I currently don't own a PC or laptop, I use one from work. I'd probably also keep the ultra portable for a net computer as it would be super handy.

I'd give one to hubby because atm he's using my work pc and I woke up one morning to him looming apologetically over me telling me the computer wouldn't boot and kept rebooting over and over. O_o so I'd like to get him OFF my work computer. I had to reinstall Windows over that escapade! I'd have to give the rest of the gear some thought.

That sure is a  nice bunch of gear!

LOL!!
I jest.  I would definitely share the magic with my sisters and brother.  Such a comprehensive package is far too much for me to benefit from on my own.
Best of luck everyone!

I so want that prize, my ancient HP Media Centre is very old and out of date and the only notebook I have these belongs to the company and our IT department has it locked down so tight it is afraid to come out of it's carry bag!

I'd have to send one to my Mum in Oz so she could get an email address for photos of her grandchildren! (One is five and she has only seen her once, and trhe other is 3 months away :D)
