Reviews, News, like Blogs, only infrequently has/had new content, so those were only in the way before, hence everyone's eye muscle memory stories.

I'd prefer new content at the top, older content towards the bottom, meaning Reviews too at the bottom, not merely off to the other side for retraining.

Is that possible or does the page require 3 columns?

Yeah I had to be careful and tried it a couple of times to be sure. Mobile Safari definitely can do it - works with the “live” reporting on stuff etc.

Works on Android and @MichaelMurfy says it is working for him on Safari plus iOS.

Three columns are ok but that bright yellow is jarring on the left. It’s a big piece of real estate. Maybe tone down the yellow to a softer post-it colour. I prefer the news back on the left side.

On my older iPad in safari I don’t see anything refreshing. Need to try it on my newer one that runs IOS 15

Live page looks a whitish colour which I’m not fond of.

I really like the soft green of the home page the best. It’s calming and not garish and for now will keep that as my home page because of this. Definitely prefer the three columns change.

Woah that was an unexpected change. Personally, I prefer the left and right columns swapped back, but I'll adjust either way.

is the right stuff being focused on for a geekzone update? For me, the look (colours / layout etc) has become quite stale - perhaps that would be a better area to focus?

Ahh, you said Live isn't working... and that isn't Live :)

(This post mainly to test and see whether it updates for me...)

Edit: Both Live and the homepage 'widget' work for me in Safari for Mac.

Using iOS iPhone and I prefer this new homepage with the discussions on the left that way when I refresh can also see if anyone has sent me a message.

Before I usually have it zoomed on the discussions but then if I needed to check if anyone sends me a message I would have had to zoom out to check whereas now I can still keep it zoom when looking at discussions and messages at the same time.

Hopefully what I said makes sense.

I prefer the "Discussions " columns on the right of the page. That for me is the better side for what I think is the most important section of the home page.

It's just like the prime spot for advertising on a newspaper page which is the right hand side of the page.
