I have to say I've seem quite a few new topics even before the Geekzone redesign, so I am taking the NEW TOPIC away from that spot. There's still one on top of the page, and below the Quick Reply box.

I am starting a new topic on email notifications here: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=4&topicid=58003

The mobile site is "m.geekzone.co.nz" or "geekzone.mobi". You seriously never tried entering this? You never looked at the footer in the main site where it says "Mobile site"?

I see it now, sorry, I just assumed you didn't have a mobile site because my mobile is not redirected to it.

Next time you are in the main Geekzone site using your mobile, visit www.geekzone.co.nz/testip.asp and send me a PM with the user-agent string for your mobile browser.

I stand corrected it is, normally I view geekzone via Gmail, therefore I go to the direct link. This is why I did not see the mobile version.

Geekzone automatically redirects to the correct site if your mobile browser is correctly identified.

I think it is because of the gmail link I use, I only come through when I ready a reply to a post. Though on my old noklia 'smartphone' it used to only view the full site but that was 1 month ago. So you may have changed things since then., Now when I directly to go the homepage it is redirected.

The mobile site has been up for some time - months now. The redirection is automatic if your mobile browser is recognised. Again, please PM the user agent and we can make it automatic.

We are also working on making the full forum page more "compatible" for people running browsers with no Javascript or mobile browses... So we are replacing the "New topic", "Compose reply" and other buttons with images and plain links.

This will be live when we release the new forum notification update later this week:

They look good. Nice and bold with different colours so it's easier to distinguish between the 3 classes of buttons.

Also, notice how the page numbers on the bottom now won't take lots of lines but cut in long threads/forum listings at the bottom...
