Hey guys,

Something just came to me. I'm wondering if it would be possible to add polls to GZ, when we create our threads. I'm guessing there is people out there who want to answer a question, but maybe they don't want to post an answer.

Questions especially in the OT thread I feel could do with a poll. Example right now off the top of my head is "Do you want the flag changed".

It's not a deal breaker, but thought it might be something to look at if the boss has time and others are interested?

I hope it's a dormant feature, and someone edits your post into a poll just 'cuz.

It wouldn't be too bad, but it'd also clog up a bit with things like "Poll: Why is my Broadband slow?!" and stupid things like that. It'd have to be a restricted feature for users granted it, or after a certain activity/post count at a minimum.

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.

+1 this post if we should have a poll feature.

my opinion is that its a forum for expressing your views not to vote on without explaining why.

If a feature was being added I sincerely hope better quoting (ala Head-Fi) is higher priority than Polls. If you want polls, I suggest Poland :)

Epic fail!

LOL

Polls and Dancing Cats, you are like my worst case scenario on ANY forum, and I mean that in the nicest possible way. When I see people posting cat stuff on forums, I want a poll too, to beat someone with :)

Hence the "quotes" to show I'd intentionally misspelt it so it stayed in the original context.

Which quotes? You mean the asterisks *I* put in to show how you hadn't put in quotes to show you'd intentionally misspelt it so it stayed in the original context?

We should have a poll to decide if we should have polls.

It would be nice to see a list of all feature requests and their priority.  I can think of much better ways to spend time on improving GZ (in my opinion of course).

You can think of better ways than improving quoting? Or Polls? Quoting is used in almost every post.

Head-Fi has this awesome quoting system where by default it quotes only the last block of text, and you can click multi-quote and it does easily allow you to select other blocks too.
