Search function not working?

Is this happening to any one else at the moment?

I type anything in to the 'Forum Search' box, and it just comes up with nothing. (See picture)

That's what comes up after I search for something.

Using latest version of Firefox.

Is this happening to any one else?

After 60 views, no one can confirm if theirs is working? :S

Mauricio is out atm, so he cannot 'fix' anything.

BTW it works perfectly for me on Firefox. What add-ons are you running with firefox? I am guessing you are using a script/add blocker. And you are blocking google? As they serve the results page.

No, the forum search doesn't seem to work.

Edit : Adblocker is reason. Strange embedded google searches work elsewhere.

I have tested this with both my account, and when not logged in. It works fine. Both the site, and forum search boxes.

The only time it does not work, is when I use no-script to block www.geekzone.co.nz AND www.google.com
Both these sites need to be unblocked for you to get search results.

As I said before to others, using ad blocking in these day is, for lack of any other word, lame.

First you deprive a website from revenue. And we do have costs. We pay for colocation, traffic, firewall, software, salaries. You block our ads, you reduce our ability to keep the site running. We make money from both clicks and display ads.

We already do an excellent job of reducing site load sizes and increase speed. Just look at all the work we have done in the last six months with new login system, introduction of number of domains to increase parallel downloads of resources and use of software such as Aptimize. Even the decision to keep our servers in Auckland was based on the analysis of where most of our visitors are located.

Every day I look for things we can change to make it faster for you. <sarcasm> I am glad you are looking for things you can change to make it harder for us. </sarcasm>

Easy and simple to understand, right? USE AD BLOCK AND YOU KILL US. Don't believe? Read this.

If you still don't want to see ads, why not subscribe?

I do have a long list of sites excluded from Adblocking and I couldn't remember why GZ wasn't one of them until I tried it with ads. You may intend it to have ads but did you mean to have so many moving elements?

I use the AdBlock Plus add-on for FireFox, so that must be the reason why.

EDIT: Just 'allowed' Geekzone for AdBlock Plus, and the search function is working great now.
