Hello Everyone,

We have been through a bucketload of flacky, feature missing, or rocket surgeon required routers until we finally settled on the NetGear DH834G (ADSL2/VPN/Wireless) which is a very simple, reliable, feature complete widely used router.

We have been down the path of Linksys, sinking around 200 hours into troubleshooting WAG54G routers we were selling (v1 was fine software wise but overheats, v2 hardware running a rushed out the door version, and have about 30 firmware releases, at which point even working with Cisco Lead Tech in Australia (Rodd Brown) we couldn't get the things to work reliabily and they swapped them out for Cisco 857 kit.)

So - We have a bucket load of clients all with rock solid DG834G's, the latest firmware supporting VOiP QoS, but checking other threads here VFX messes with the standard VOIP ports and this perhaps wont work correctly?

What the story with 'non-supported' routers, or eventually VFX supporting other routers?

We don't want to start selling this combo and then find out it's all bad news, or go back to selling the Linksys routers (trust me, when you spend this long at night for several months looking at these boxes, you don't want them physically chose to you again hehe :-)
