You're saying that the power outage broke the unit? that's unfortunate, but maybe fortunate for us if they can look at it.
I haven't heard yet whether there was a surge or not that broke other things

ZiglioNZ: I wouldn't blame TelstraClear for the firmware.
The software is developed by Digisoft but that's just the (Java) application if I understand correctly.
The hardware (and firmware) comes from someone else. So I would blame the supplier.
I don't think TelstraClear should mess with the firmware, have they got anybody who's capable of doing it?
