I'm still upset that Sky and Vodafone never merged, I was really looking forward to Skodafone.

Maybe they can go back to using Bell South? is that brand still available for them to use?

I suspect lawyers from AT&T are still watching the corpses of the former baby-bells they acquired in the 2000s when they went about rebuilding the empire :)

I also am not a fan of that branding, it seems really innocuous and meaningless to me.

It amazes me how much companies spend to have marketers come up with these bland icky brandings.

Imagine how hard SEO will be on a name like ONE and how difficult it will be to get good google results when searching for it.

I'm glad that someone sees the SEO challenge there - that's what I have to make happen.

The One NZ website managed to get the #5 ranking for the "One NZ" keyword within 2 days - and got the #1 ranking after 19 days.

There are many more SEO challenges to just that - and that can't happen until the official cutover.

I like what you had said @MikeB4

MikeB4 - It doesn’t matter if the brand it One, Two, Poop or Sandwich it’s the standard of product and service that matters for the customer and ROI for the owners.

Well challenged or not it seems to have gone ahead overnight.

Client called this morning to say they had no (desk)phones working. I hopped online to check and had to type in login name and password, as the recorded sign ins were with vodafone.co.nz. Ultimately had to reboot their 4G router and get each user to unplug/plug their phones.

Thankfully the only glitch I've encountered.

I found the My Vodafone app updated to be a "My One NZ" app last week. Looks the same, just green instead of red. Also noticed a few shops have rebranded as well as the stands inside Noel Leeming, etc.

Can't say I'm enthused about this change, to be honest - I quite preferred the Vodafone brand. This just seems like a cost-cutting exercise to me. I'll still be calling it Vodafone.

I still fill up at "shell", which is the other infratil one they rebranded to save money on a brand. But vodafone isnt really a place you go so I dont think it will be as sticky for the name.

My sim is now showing as "Five..." instead of One NZ (same with my friend), I wonder what this is referencing?

I must admit it's a bit odd. I keep thinking it's a fault on my phone.
I carry two phones, I use an iPhone for work and af flip for personal use.
The iPhone had been showing five or ive all day. My Samsung doesn't ever show the operator. Both are Vodafone
