marmel: OK I will try again later and if it has decreased I will call the helpdesk then.

It will be 100% fine outside of peak time, but ALWAYS bad during peak time.

Once again xNet "broadband" grinds to a halt.

Los Angeles:
Download = 672 kbps
Upload = 518 kbps
Ping = 177 ms

Canberra:
Download = 301 kbps
Upload = 376 kbps
Ping = 353 ms

Even to Auckland speeds are horrible.
Download = 1407 kbps
Upload = 663 kbps
Ping = 71 ms

xNet no longer acknowledge that there is a problem with there pathetic excuse for "broadband", and no longer respond to any form of communication.

Worse ISP I've been with so far, and I've suffered thru Xtra's GoLarge, Orcon and Slingshot.

 I am also having problems with Xnet slowness but these seem solvable. Just be grateful you never had Woosh

I can't get Woosh, I have to resort to leeching a friends wireless (with Xtra) because the speeds are so pathetic and unstable.

How WorldxChange can be rated the TUANZ Telecommunications Carrier of the Year 2007 when they don't even respond to emails and voice messages (due to their 60+ minute wait time), I don't know.
They must of decided "hey we got it, now we can forget about out customers"

"The directors of the company are committed to making WorldxChange and the XNet, VFX ranges of products the best there is available."
maybe that should be changed to:
"The directors of the company are committed to making WorldxChange and the XNet, VFX ranges of products the worse and most unreliable."

LA times seem ok for peak time for me:

Another test done a few minutes was much the same, and both done when my son is busy playing Halo on Xbox Live.

Speeds from Australia have been consistently shocking lately though:

It's all very odd.

Xnet has always been reliable for me. Only two outtages within a year. (Mind, I had only two outtages in four years with Paradise...)

Have you read the previous post where WxC recognises there is a problem and says that they are working on tha?. Also it seems it is their policy not to comment on their plans for service improvement.

As for the customer service, this is something different.

This is getting OT, but just want to add that Woosh was an experiment.  NZ was a trial site before the product was launched worldwide (but not sure if it was launched worldwide or where).  Okay, enough about Woosh.

Speed to LA is still good for me.  It is 6.5Mbps.

You can never have enough Volvos!

Not sure but, I wonder if those who don't have a international speed problem are those still on the IP range of 58 . . . ?
where as those on the new IP 118 . . . (like myself) have the fault?

just a hunch Undecided
someone on 58... can put this theory to sleep :)

I am on the 58.28 range. International speeds both to LA and elsewhere are currently perfect, although I have previously experienced this issue.

I'm on 58.28 (static IP), LA is OK, but can someone do a Sydney test? My Australia results are terrible.

I'm getting ~700kbits/sec to Sydney (terrible) but very fast to everywhere else in Australia, so my guess is the Sydney speedtest server is screwed. Try testing to Canberra instead.

My speeds are back to crap after showing some promise this morning. Less than 400kbps to LA at the moment. I won't have time to ring the helpdesk until Wednesday either.Undecided
