modcar: Be careful. I got my number put on customer link, and get a tempory replacement number. Telecom asured me I would not loose ADSL, however, they were wrong.
This work was ment to be completed at 7pm last night, however, someone "forgot about it" so it didn't get done till i phoned 3 times, 2pm today.
Yes, the same thing happened to me, although this was a few months back before the advent of Naked DSL.
From my experience it is inevitable that you will lose broadband for a short time during the transition. Best idea is to have your Mobile Data Card handy, or make do with dial-up as you have done. At least your phone calls are taken care of in the meantime by Customer Link.
No doubt Telecom will get the process much more seamless in the months to come, but it's early days yet, and hoping for a no-break transition is being a little too optimistic IMO.
