Yes, sorry about that, should have mentioned where they will both be visible...as per the article:

Their esim activations are still branded Voda NZ. Just activated a bunch today.
Suspect there will be a few of these Easter eggs for a few years to come.

I think you’ll find if you go into Settings -> General -> About and look at the Service Provider it will still show Voda NZ 54.0. That’s the reason why. It’s an iOS thing. One needs to update their carrier bundles with Apple.
