Hi Everyone

I am having a major headache trying to setup my new apple watch ultra 2 to esim on onenz.  Both are running latest software updates. I have so far spent 1hr on phone to apple and 1 hour instore at One nz botany yesterday to no avail.... id be so appreciative of any help.  The issue is i cannot select set up mobile its simply un-selactable and greyed out.  Apple has said its not an issue with my watch they are saying a network provider issue.  The Apple tech also said the watch is missing an iccid number? Under general in settings and about, it should have this assigned to it?  i have tried to uninstall and remove watch app and repair as new watch twice its very weird?  The watch was purchsed from JBhifi on launch day in NZ.  Im really at a loss what to do next and would be very appreciative of any advice and or support.

Thanks everyone :)

Hiya >

Make sure you're on 17.1 iOS and WatchOS 10.1

If you're on the betas then we do not support this currently at the time > have to wait until one of the seeds brings support or wait for 17.2 if you want to stay on the beta.

Otherwise yes send me the details :)

Kind regards

Maxine

I was able to get my Watch setup today 🙌🏻 I was kind of expecting that I wouldn't be able to since my connection is on a company plan since this was the case with Spark but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that wasn't the case - just has to be done differently to the typical consumer way

So, eSIM is working great on my old series 6 but unfortunately the battery in that watch is no longer holding charge so I have just ordered a new series 9.

Is there anything I need to know in advance of setting up the new watch? Is it just a matter of deleting the eSIM from the old watch and then setting up the new watch as per Apple's instructions?

Should be removing it from the old watch first.

Waiting a bit and then setting it up on the new watch as the first time

Unfortunately this has proven to be a lot more difficult than I would have liked. 😥

I am getting the 'technical problem' message and first tier support couldn't fix it so they escalated to someone who did something at his end and then talked me through the network reset procedure on my phone but it's still not working. He has now referred it to a specialist.

It sounds like there are still a lot of back end systems that need fine tuning.

Kia ora, so I've switched over to an eSIM on my phone, which worked fine straight away thankfully. This on a business account - I'm on the But when I try to set up my Apple Watch within the Watch app, I get prompted to sign in to my One NZ account which I do, and then I get the following screen:

Kia ora, got it - needed to log in using the business administrator's login instead of my own. Working now!

Can someone let me know if this is possible.

I want to connect my LTE Samsung watch to eSim as a standalone device. I'm not interested in having the same number as my phone. Is this possible?

This is not currently supported by One NZ.

I reckon they would earn more by letting people add e-sims to wearables as standalone devices.

What is your use case for this? I would have thought that anyone with a sports watch would also have a phone?
