I have just installed my third Vodafone TV, the second on one subscription, and it keeps micro pausing on TV channels.

We've been having issues with lockups on a couple of our VTV units over the last week (the third box isn't used very often). It's becoming very annoying. Add that to the apparent increase in programs/movies that aren't able to be restarted from the beginning of the program or recordable, the WAF is dropping rapidly.

IvanPiacun:

It seems to be working now after I plugged in the old VTV Gen2 Box that I was shifting from the lounge to a bedroom.

I did note however that when I turned on the old box all the channels showed a pink screen, and I had to restart the box.

It appears that this may mean that when there are multiple devices on one subscription they all have to be connected to the network for any of them to work correctly without micro pauses. It may be that they check for each other on the network. Any ideas on this, in case I want to put one of them on a different sub net? Do they all have to be accessible to each other?

Prime TV anyone? I thought this channel was free to air, but I get the message:

We can't show you this program because of a rights restriction, please try later.

Not that I'm interested in watching the rugby that's on, but there's a principle in play here.

Getting the same here. This is getting a little ridiculous, Vodafone.

It is fine now. Prior to 7pm, it wasn't.

I was locked out of Prime until "The Crowd Goes Wild" started.

I was locked out of watching what ever rugby program that was on preceding it. Curiously though, this morning I found that actual program was in my 'Recordings' list. Although, I don't recall pressing REC last night, but there it was.

Them damn glitches....

I tried Prime when the rugby was on and got the same message "We can't show you this program because of a rights restriction, please try later" but later in the evening could access Prime no problemo.  Presumably a flag in the stream set to restrict access.

Seeing these last few posts reinforces my decision to assign my VTV puck to storage and go back to Sky. Viewing TV is again relaxing as it should be and not a battle with bugs.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Honestly I'm starting to feel this way as well. VTV was (in theory) convenient in that I could get Sky without having to convince my landlords to chuck a satellite dish on the roof, but the box honestly feels on life support. I'm thinking I should've bought the Dish TV Android TV puck when I bought this instead. At least that I can access my media server from as well as install other apps like Disney+ that still aren't on VTV.

It would be interesting to know how many people are users of VTV. If there were a lot of them out there then I would expect that they would all be complaining to the call centre, getting fobbed off, and then complaining to the media.

The apparent lack of any media attention makes me wonder if VTV has failed to achieve the critical mass that Vodafone was hoping for, and they can't make a business case for fixing all the faults.

Pointless complaining, it is what it is, i.e., good enough.
