TheBartender: Hmmm...now says 0.00 on everything and cost is "N/A for this plan" as others have stated above.

I have no concerns, know it is just buggy and will be fixed...disapointing that xnet would release something so buggy though, practically completely useless at this point.

Furthermore, since signing up for this plan, I have been unable to get into the 'Accounts' section at all...so I cant view any stats there either currently.

This is all just a little poor I think.

Whens the new torrent plan coming??

hmm I am sure Marverick stated the release version is buggy and they also
need to re-construct it bandwidth data usage somehow.
Anyway I also just signed up yesterday too, but I used a bandwidth monitor to record my usage every 30 minutes.
Should any dispute arises I am able to verify my usage.

Having said that I am Xnet bandwidth recorder should be ok. Its the uncertainty that is the issue right?

Are ya alright there son?

Xnet 'released' this plan to the public after having done the closed beta testing with select users...
Xnet are charging full retail for the service...
Therfore, Xnet should expect complaints if something is not working properly as paid for by its customers.

If you want to be a fanatical xnet fan, and willing to put up with everything without ever taking issue...good for you.

I am generally happy with my Xnet service, but this plan has been buggy, and I will state that.
Say and do nothng, and nothing gets done.

JUPITER2K: Its the uncertainty that is the issue right?

Yup.
The usage meter and online account section are just tools for staying informed, particuarlly usefull/required for a plan such as this.

We all (or most) know that xnet will get it right, its just got a few bugs to be weeded out in a new service.

This is why I am not overly concerned or complaining...but I will still point out if something is not working as it should and what I think of it.

cant log in as well in my account. just wanna know how can my account help me keep track? will it also display usage there? the last i was able to log in was yesterday. It only had aprils and before that usage. nothing recent besides VFX calls. just want to double check with you guys on what is available for us to keep track with our usage. What I did was take screenshots of the page coz it said I was on the torrent plan there and I took screenshots of their usage meter. Should they wanna argue I will send it to them and tell them ANY average or beginner user would think they are already on the new plan and they would be confused as hell. lets see

Sorry if it sounds like I was making a dig at you, I wasn't. If something is not working correctly, then for sure raise the issue. I was more just try to point out it's always a balance between what the user wants, what ISP's can provide, and getting new products out in good time. If we waited for the product to be perfect, we'd never get anything new, hey we wouldn't even have VFX (as DSL that it usually runs across is not perfect yet either).
I don't think the Torrent plan is at fault here. I'm not on Torrent, and my usage meter is not working either.

Yes I have noticed that, as have a lot of people, it is getting to the point where your "pointing out" and "what you think about it" may start to have a detrimental effect on the attention paid to your comments and suggestions and possibly the resolution of your issue(s).

Just a friendly reminder that this is a sizeable forum and with the exception of a few people who post a post or 2 detailing their issue you are the only one going on and on and on about it when a fix is more than likely not very far away.

I know it should be 100% from day dot but it isn't, ranting and ranting with your name up in lights over a long weekend when it is likely nothing can be done to fix it is clearly not having the desired effect.

Say what you want mate, I dont care what others think (or more likely you), I am still going participate when and where I feel neccersary.

I may have been 'enthusiastic' in my recent discussion, but its a new issue I am expereincing like many others, and if you had read all my related posts, you would see I have actually come to the defence of xnet to tell others that they are only minor bugs/issues, and not to worry, they will be sorted in good time. Thats not to say I wont be critical though.

I certainly dont 'carry on' like these guys.

But if your criticizing me for being an active member of the forums, well for that I wont apolagise.

Hey guys,

Sorry about the accounts and usage meters dying. The issue was down to a concurrent connection limit tripping for the account/usage meters access managing thingy (to be technical ;p). Hopefully it doesn't recur, and once again, sorry for the downtime :).

Cheers,

Simon

Hi Guys, been offline for a few days.

We did have a couple of issues by the looks of it and some heated debate.

Just rememeber please we like the feedback, constructive feedback is always welcome we will always look to be improving things here and by now I'm pretty sure we have showed that, this is now a new way of doing things in the way of plans and usage meter so there is a lot more going on in the background to give the details for the usage meter, we have tested it but the true test will always be in mass deployment, so please bear with us as we find load related issues, some time it may take a small fix or it may take a few days. Just bear with us and know that we are always looking to improve it, we were first I think to give this plan and the usage meter, the others will try and copy us but we are leading the way, we don't like any issues and will look to resolve them when identified.

Can I ask that we don't get in a pro WxC vs non WxC agruments, we like to have constructive details and feedback and from there we will see what we can do, so If you have any issues or suggestions could we move it to a new thread as this is now way off track.

Thanks Guys and Girls

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink
