freitasm: Do we know if the WxC links have enough capacity at the moment? Is their test server limited in any way? Do we know how the traffic from TCL to WxC routes? It could be anything really...

their speed test server appears to be on more than 100 megabit connectivity... the traffic from tcl to wxc or within tcl is an unknown. ?telstraclear aren't peering on ape. ?wxc server is definitely fast over ape.

I know that TCL don't peer at the WIX. Not sure about APE.

But I guess it's all down to real world speeds rather than speed tests. Not sure it should have improved the situation but Netflix streaming seemed better after the upgrade and I'm not using a VPN.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

I had my TCL modem upgraded today to the new DOCSIS3 100Mbps service and I though of sharing some speedtest numbers.

To the Wellington TCL Speedtest server impressive 99 Mbps download and 9.9Mbps upload, but not so impressive to the rest:
6/2/2012 7:53 AM GMT            5.69 Mb/s            5.0 Mb/s            166 ms            Phoenix, AZ

6/2/2012 7:52 AM GMT            6.00 Mb/s            3.29 Mb/s            157 ms            Los Angeles, CA

6/2/2012 7:51 AM GMT            5.89 Mb/s            1.30 Mb/s            315 ms            Los Angeles, CA

6/2/2012 7:50 AM GMT            14.84 Mb/s            9.31 Mb/s            44 ms                        Sydney

6/2/2012 7:48 AM GMT            14.90 Mb/s            8.83 Mb/s            91 ms                        Sydney

6/2/2012 7:47 AM GMT            7.64 Mb/s            9.81 Mb/s            30 ms                        Tauranga

6/2/2012 7:46 AM GMT            8.47 Mb/s            9.78 Mb/s            31 ms                        New Plymouth

6/2/2012 7:45 AM GMT            4.69 Mb/s            9.81 Mb/s            36 ms                        Culverden

6/2/2012 7:44 AM GMT            12.56 Mb/s            10.01 Mb/s            19 ms                        Auckland

6/2/2012 7:43 AM GMT            13.50 Mb/s            9.99 Mb/s            20 ms                        Auckland

6/2/2012 7:41 AM GMT            10.99 Mb/s            9.87 Mb/s            19 ms                        Auckland

6/2/2012 7:40 AM GMT            11.09 Mb/s            9.95 Mb/s            20 ms                        Auckland

6/2/2012 7:37 AM GMT            10.83 Mb/s            9.90 Mb/s            20 ms                        Auckland

6/2/2012 7:33 AM GMT            14.80 Mb/s            9.98 Mb/s            23 ms                        Napier

6/2/2012 7:32 AM GMT            52.94 Mb/s            10.12 Mb/s            12 ms                        Christchurch

Apart from the speedtest to Snap in Christchurch I can't really see much difference in download speed to my previous 15Mbps TCL service. So again, there is really no much point of having the fastest connection to TCL if the connection to the others does not improve.
