I went to the Vodafone store in Queen St Auckland CBD at lunchtime to find out more info, the salesperson I spoke with was surprised I knew about these new plans, apparently they were keeping it under wraps and it will officially be launched on Monday and there will be ads on TV over the weekend.

I told her I read about it through media release on Stuff.co.nz and Vodafone Forum.

She said to go back on Monday so she can 'Openly' discuss the plans.

The press release mentions it includes OZ numbers, but the site doesn't mention this.

See the link to Vodafone Forum.

Only the Red and Red Super includes unlimited calls and texts to Oz. The Red Essentials is NZ numbers only.

Interesting that the business plans include a free local number, but the personal plans don't. I figured having a personal plan would mean you could cut the landline but doesn't seem to be the case if you don't have a local number for people to call.

Hi there - we'd be happy to answer any questions you might have here if we can. These plans are not available until Monday however, so we will not be able to switch you over until then. In the meantime, let us know how we can help.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Hi lokhor

You'll remain on your current package unless you switch to a new one. Red packages will be available for business customers too - there's information about those in the press release on Vodafone Community. We'll have more info about how to switch over to Red from Monday.

Do business users get a penalty if they received a phone subsidy on a Business Smart Data plan when switching to one of the new packages that is of equal or greater value?

Sure does. Non-standard is things like 0900, 018, etc.
