hpj2007: I seem to be on Naked DSL now as my telecom phone lost the dial tone and if i ring it from a mobile it has a recorded message that says "The number you have called is not currently active or is invalid".   How long does it take till it gets customer linked and forwarded to my VFX line till the porting happens of the actual number?

Oh and by the way Interleaving is back on, can it not be turned off on Naked?
:S

Reset your VFX box, maybe it will pick up a new config, but most likely your number port will be due to go 8AM tomorrow. If it hasn't gone live in the morning, call Xnet to check the status of the changeover.

As for interleave off, it will be on by default; so just call Xnet to get it switched off, 24-48hrs.

My DSL modem tells me that i got force rebooted around midday today, so looks like the switch happened then.  Tomorrow 8AM you are saying I will be customer linked or full ported?

That's just a guess based on another install I did. Once the broadband was naked, the port followed the next morning, but a call to Xnet will confirm the status. If you now have naked, then I'd assume the next step will be the port (the customer link should already have happened).

Yeah I am definately on nDSL. now on FS/FS before I wasn't plus Telecom line has gone dead.  No customer link yet though my old number does not exist cause no one can get through by ringing my number.  But it seems for Neil also it took an extra day for customer linking so probably its normal.

Yes, it takes a day before the customer link happens.  Once linked, it takes about 3 days for the port to happen.  In my case something went wrong and my account got suspended.  People were able to phone me, it is just that I could not phone out and got a cryptic message (which they will be changing to something more useful).  Note that if your account it suspended, then you can still phone XNet Customer Services!

For me the only thing that went wrong was that my account got suspended, but was sorted within 10 minutes after sending an e-mail.

Ok this is day 2 of nDSL and still no customer link.  Ringing my old Telecom number gives a recorded message as yesterday.

Send an e-mail to the help desk, they are the only ones that can help you and it is much faster than phoning them.  Include your account number and as much details as possible.

I never get replies from email, i wonder if they actually receive my email or not.

But anyway besides that I rang in this evening and the helpdesk person had no clue he could find no record of the number port so he forwarded me to Sales and spoke to someone in sales and she told me that my number should be ported by next Friday and I asked that it was supposed to forward phonecalls to VFX number till porting and she was surprised it wasn't being forwarded already and said that Provisioning will take a look at it tomorrow.
