WxC have had a UPS failure and due to the nature of the failure are getting everything checked out by a sparky before bringing it back online or something to that effect. Would expect everything to be back online in about half an hour or so.

Where's the redundant UPS'... First day on Fusion, took a month to convince the wife that it's just as good as a Telecom line... moved house yesterday... WAF is gone!

Fingers crossed it'll be back up soon.

To either my number, or to the xnet 0800 (from a cell) I get "Your call cannot proceed at present, please try again later".

Very thankful of the data card at this point - allowing me to come on here and find out why we're dead in the water.

Poor form WxC.

Thanks for the update chris021.

Wonder if they ever tested the UPS. No generator in the building either?

Lets go outside and enjoy the sunshine (at least I assume it is shining in Auckland too????).  TelstraClear cable has been excellent since about March.

Just power cycled the router, still nothing for me... perhaps they're controlling the load bit by bit...

Maybe Telstra's $10 price hike on cable is worth switching back.

2 hours ticked over (sniff)

Nope still kaput for me, DSL,VFX, pinging xyz WXC websites and I am in sunny papatoetoe too !

I find it hard to believe that there there is a single point of failure within an ISP's system that takes EVERYTHING out.

While maybe im a bit simple, Even redirection of their main phone numbers to a cellphone with a message saying "we are working on it" would be good.

Of interest .. 365 Days in the year, is 8736 hours in the year %1 of that is 87.36 hours
Soooo thats 3.6ish days XNET "allow" for down time .. i would FREAK if we lost that in one lump.
