Thanks for your assistance much appreciated, there are other houses in the street underway I guess I am the first to request an internet connection.
Just checking in. I have fibre all connected and signed up with Vodafone.
Would like to thank @JasonParis and @ChorusNZ for helping with this.
Cheers
Michael
Just wondering if you can share the details of what the issue was? Was it the address in the database?
How/who did you have to contact to get things moving? Is there anything you have learned from this that would help others in a similar situation in the future?

New house in new subdivision address was not in in VF or Chrous database even though fibre infrastructure was in the street. The VF contact centre staff were not very helpful as it was outside of the norm.
The Chrous contact here on Geekzone assisted by contacting the Chrous AMA team to organise update of database.
I made a compliant on the VF website and Jason escalated the issue to a Vodafone customer solution specialist who organised the install with Chrous.
Be sure to make a complaint or reach out if you get no were with call centre staff...
Cheers

There are green fibre ducts in the ground and a connection box at the edge of the section. My builder had his subcontractor run a black fibre tube from the connection box the the house were the ETP will be located.
Thanks
Michael
I have that same situation with a friend at the moment, the chorus techs are procrastinating from getting fibre from the edge of the street to the street end of the conduit.

did you get flyers in the mailbox stating Ufb was available and to go order now? Because if you did, then that experience sucks - when a suburb is handed over all isps should now be capable of instantly taking orders. I wonder if there is a lot of steam driven processes in vodatil still? (“We update the address finder once a quarter?”)

Nah it was a newly developed subdivision fibre infrastructure in the ground when the earth works were done, but databases not yet updated with new street name etc.

Voda and Chorus went above and beyond here - if the subdivision wasn't handed over yet, then there's no way any ISP would have been able to provide service. In which case @jasonparis is to be commended, but I wonder what this cost to get done.
TCL and Voda drove me nuts sometimes when I was there, but this is not one of those situations.
