If the ultrahub works like the hg659 for homephone then you can run it behind your own router with vlan tagging disabled. This will let you have the voip landline without having to mess with bridging or double nat if you put your own kit behind it

ONT -> custom router (detags vlan10) -> ultrahub (wan plugged into lan on custom router, vlan detag disabled, not needed)

@SpartanVXL – I thought you had to enable vlan10 on the wan port of the UltraHub to make it work? I was reading the instructions outlined in a different thread

So, can we pretty much disregard the vlan tagging bit completely? If so, I might be able to plug my Airport Extreme straight to the ONT.

So it seems instructions for the hg659 don’t work with the ultrahub due to it’s UI being locked down, unless there is a way to get proper admin on it you can’t change the WAN config to disable vlan tags.

Looks like you’d need to set the port that the ultrahub is connected to be retagged. Kaczor47 in the above thread managed to get it working on his switch, your main router would need to be able to do this. Remember to have different subnets between your main router and the ultrahub and to also setup firewall rules if need be to let it through.
