I just sent him a long rambling e-mail now asking for help, sorry I thought you said you would get him to contract me if he could help. Well done now.

exportgoldman:
Looks like I'm going to small claims, I'd fed up at being pushed around by them, ruthlessly charging me for services they cannot deliver...

All I can say is good luck, I hope things go well at the disputes tribunal.  By the way, I came across this page http://www.vodafone.co.nz/about/corporate-responsibility/vodafone_responsibility_2002_03.pdf where it says "Vodafone aims to get it right first time every time for our customers but unfortunately this is not always the case. In 2002-2003 Vodafone received approximately 960 written complaints
from our customers, all of which were resolved
[Not necessarily to the customers satisfaction - my words not Vodafones]. A further two customer complaints went on to be resolved through the Disputes Tribunal."

Given the Eypt experience, and increased customer numbers since then, I'd say it's 2-3 times those numbers now.

Incidentally, I happened to be in Bond and Bond recently, and what did I see in the cellphone stand there?  Pamphets from the Telecommunication Dispute Resolution Service.  Given that probably 98% of NZ'ers don't know this organisation exists, it was good to see that they are able to be promoted to some degree.

I was suprised to read that if I wanted to go onto an account with vodafone that they would lock me into a contract, so I get not much cheaper calls, and nothing else but have to stay with them for 24 months, for that i get.....nothing, in Aussie when you go on a plan you get a significant discount on the phone you want for your trouble. I am staying on prepaid, it is the same price for what I use it for and if I feel like not using them anymore I simply wont, no stupid cancellation fees.

But I can't add a best mate at 9pm at night, on account. Because "we are only essensial services".

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

That document is from 2002/3 - Alot has changed since Tim Miles was at the helm!

Yes, but the document should've been updated, regardless...

Absolutely!

As an aside, anyone see Campbell Live last night about the 018 outsourcing to Manilla? Very much reminded me of my recent CS experiences with the VFNZ Cairo operation (That said, the last time I spoke to someone there they were actually really helpful, knowledgeable and easily understandable)

For people following this thread I would like to confirm a few things

A) contract term was signed
B) Contract was never extended at anytime from the original term

I will leave it up to exportgoldman if he wishes to add further

Thanks John
