So, I called up Vodafone two months ago and canceled one of my numbers and made a note on my bill. Two months later I'm still being billed for it. Sigh. Oh, and Vodafone have no record of cancelation.
So, I called up and got the Egypt call centre again and said I wanted to cancel all the services on my account AGAIN, my main number had been ported to XT so didn't need to cancel that.
Amusingly enough the girl in Egypt asked me to hold, and I got transferred to a New Zealand call centre for a 'unsubscription' line.
Seems like Vodafone deems you only worthly enough to speak to a NZ call centre if you are wanting to leave so they can talk you out of it. I told the guy I was moving to mobile broadband '3G' :) hehe.
He asked if I was leaving of any problems. Sigh, yeah all the problems I kept logging for years until they asked me to stop logging faults.
So anyways, I get my bill today and have a $560 early disconnection charge on my bill, because they decided that a simple plan change was a re-sign for 12 months. It really annoys me that every time I change my plan Vodafone think they can lock me into a 12 month contract, until you actually ask them to show you the contract you signed and then they scratch their heads and go oops. Happened a handful of times so far.
The other interesting thing is how on earth they got $560 as I have a $40/month talkzone 10c plan and paid cash for my iPhone a year ago...
So yet again I had to call them and spoke to some girl which said a couple of times they would call me back yesterday by 1:30pm and heard not a blip outta them.
Vodafone has yet again made my last interactions with them as painful as possible, while also trying to rip me off one last time.
God I hate them. Sigh. Off to call them again.
