Sorry John, what I actually meant was I've given on texting telecom users as their reply is so delayed. They have no problems receiving my texts, so it does look like a telecom issue.

No problem Telecom might have upgrades going on as well which might cause delays

johnr: Yes and I can %100 confirm this is not a Vodafone issue

The SMS from Telecom are getting delivered to the Vodafone subscriber as soon as they reach the Vodafone SMSR

SMS Vodafone NZ to Vodafone NZ subscribers are not delayed

Funny - Maybe you should tell your CSR's that as well.. Call to the helpdesk at 10am yeasterday and was told it was a Vodafone issue that has now been esculated and should be resolved in the next couple of hours..

Don't you just hate that lol

funny thing happened today in this regard... (me on Voda, other person on Telecom)

11:52am - I send text to X
11:56am - I receive part 1 of 2 part text message from X
12:15pm - I send response to part 1 of message from X
12:58pm - I receive reply to previous message from X
1:33pm - I receive part 2 of text message where first part arrived 1 hour 40ish mins earlier from X

quite odd really.

Telecom customers need to be logging jobs with Telecom NZ if the issue is still on going

Yes please log a fault, I haven't seen any further reports of the issue.  The issue was releated to some work done on the SMSC and a couple of events on both networks.  This has since been resolved.  Please also PM me if you are still affected I will take a look into the issue.

By the way, I only sent her 1 of the 12 messages.
