I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed that text messages sent from Telecom mobiles to Vodafone mobiles are being delayed?

This week I've had 3 instances where people have text me and it's taken between 12 and 18 hours to be received by me (I'm on Vodafone). I know that a few years ago Telecom text messages went via the Netherlands.

Maybe the problem is a Vodafone one ... who knows. Do you....

Yes and I can %100 confirm this is not a Vodafone issue

The SMS from Telecom are getting delivered to the Vodafone subscriber as soon as they reach the Vodafone SMSR

SMS Vodafone NZ to Vodafone NZ subscribers are not delayed

Received a text on my VF mobile from a Telecom mobile on Wednesday (delivered 4:20AM) that was delayed by 3.5 days and then another (delivered 4:25AM) that was delayed by 12 hours.

I have had similar issues with Telecom etxt to Vodafone mobile - we had a significant network event over the weekend and I got 1000+ texts for system outages.

Then I got some more last night and thought we were having problems again! After logging in, it seems the messages were just stragglers from the weekend. A bit weird, as I can assure you I got plenty of them on-time on Saturday ;-)

Encountered this today. Approx 3 hrs from Telecom to Vodafone.

I received a Tele-Com txt at 2:00am the other morning, that was sent at 5:00pm 2 days before.
Luckerly I didn't ring the sender at that time in the morning to check what it was about!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, had that yesterday. The person sent me the reply at about 9pm yesterday, and it arrived at 1am this morning!!

But it's not consistent, I had a mini conversation with another person on Telecom, no issues. The only difference was that the delayed person was in the South Island, while the other was across town.

yep, I had one sent at approx 5.45pm on sat to me, recieved monday morning 3.20am (nice wake up call). Telecom / Vodacon needs to get there S*** sorted.

There is no delay with vodafone sending sms to Telecom as I understand

issue is not on vodafone side and what company do you work for so I can insult that. You have a attitude problem with most of your posts on gz
