Hi,

just got the letter tonight, seems you were correct Embarassed, so i rang again to discuss remaining on plan i am on as I have never come close to hitting the cap I have and there is nothing they can do unitl 1 October when the changes take effect, as downgrading me now would not be in my favor.

Bolding mine

Dang - I'll send you my two under 10's and a passion for Youtube.

Cap ? - what cap ? - oh Dad, why all those "you have reached....." emails..

Roll on next month, faster speeds = hitting the cap quicker ! - thank god it's been doubled.

Have to agree with Thebender it makes for a long month when you hit the cap halfway through. I unfortunately miss out as the Telstra at my address got cancelled mid August. Can't complain at $1.54 a gig peak and 75 offpeak free can't complain too much.

Hmmm... right in the middle of my billing cycle.  I wonder if my data cap will double or be reset or what? Hmmm... a little moment of adventure!

I wish they would offer a VOIP service with these new fancy plans.

I have been using VFX over our Telstra cable connection for years. Yes it would be nice to have it on one bill but it is not too much pain having a bill with World Exchange.

I'm upgraded to 15Mbps a day early.

Fantastic job TCL!  Well done.

My allowance has been increased but the actual speed hasn't.

Same, but I can get >14Mbps to debian.paradise.net.nz, and speedtests initially spike up to 15 then slow down to 10 over a few seconds. My guess is that TelstraClear is provisioning modems for the new speed today, and is currently "soft limiting" the speeds out of their network somehow, until tomorrow presumably. They would never actually give us anything early, even just a day ;)

My monthly data allowance has increased but no increase in speed, can anybody in Kapiti confirm a speed increase ?
