No it's a standard POTs line.

Just had a call from TC and all signed up thanks guys.

The site states "FREE 40GB DATA - EVERY MONTH FOR A YEAR". Does that mean that the data allowance will change after 12 months?

And this deal looked really sharp until I had a look at adding phone features, $18 per month for voicemail, call waiting and caller ID is a bit hard to stomach (versus $10 with Telecom and free with VOIP)...

Yes. Once the year is up you will start paying $30 more if you want to keep your 40GB (unless the prices change of course). Or, of course, you could find a new ISP that is doing a similar offer and switch to them.

hi, what annoys me with this new deal is that i am a inhome cable connected customer and pay $25 a month more for 20 less GB with a homeline, and they wont let me transfer over to this new deal, as it is for non-cable customers only. even though i have teleco wires connected to my house, they wont connect me that way. feel ripped off and am looking at orcon genius now...

Hi metallermatt. Our cable network is far superior to the copper infrastructure. On cable, for example, you will get a consistent and usually higher speed, particularly for uploads but also for downloads. Cable has also been independently shown by TrueNet to be the country's fastest residential Internet connection by far (webpage download times that are twice as fast as the best ADSL).

Hi Fabian,

As with any service over copper, speeds will vary depending on many factors. However our engineers are always working to ensure that our network performs as well as possible. In the last TrueNet testing our DSL service was (only-just) rated second-fastest.

You can add options to the special offer - just talk to one of our friendly customer service staff and talk about about what best suits your needs.

i got a mailer today from telecom offering 10GB and landline for $80 a month with a free gift.
telstra's deal is definitely better than that.
and i have no junk mail on my letterbox, so not impressed really at all
