kfella2000: I might add something else here too if that customerlink is $22.50 a month it wouldnt be good for my $25.00 a month saving that I am going to make not having POTS. I am certainly glad that I dropped my landline number.

starspangle: Don't telecom charge a full month for customer link even though it's only needed for a few days ?
If so whats the point ? supposed to be saving money not spending more on telecom.
As I say drop the telecom number, use xNet's number, eveyone will just have to get use to calling a new number, why should I keep the old telecom number to satisfy everyone else when their not paying the bills :)
it's like a cell phone really, you have one, you lose it, every one has that number but you can't do anything about it (unless it's a contract phone), you buy another one and give people the new number, happy as larry :)

Customerlink is only a temporary solution while your number is being ported. Under the ideal situations, you'll only require it for a few days.
insane: Can someone please tell me the process for getting NDSL while having a TELSTRACLEAR phone bill (originally telecom).
If someone has done his successfully while KEEPING their phone number (having it ported to VFX with NDSL )please tell me how. I beleive its diffrerent to the way it works with telecom.
I've got VFX and am on a FS/FS plan already with xnet.
xnet said its impossible to do it from telstra however someone on this forum has.
PS, i did manage to eventially get a customerlink thing going from telstra but they didnt give me a temporary number and said that i had to choose the number i wanted to have my calls forwarded to (temporary number) (so picked a friends landline which already had BB on it)
surly i need a temporary/dummy number that doesnt really exist to have NDSL provisioned onto.
thanks

A customer with both Xnet Broadband and VFX can churn to the new product without charge or contract. Note: there can be an outage of up to 6 hours
So I would suggest you call them again and tell them you have your broadband and VFX with them and you want to change to Xnet fusion.

I'm afraid that :
1. my current home connection will drop on the 21st or 22nd
2. my calls will get forwared to the frinds number that i chose
3. that NDSL wont be able to be provisioned as I dont have a free temp/dummy number to put it onto.
can i get NDSL provisioned onto my existing VFX number?
thanks guys, I know this is confusing as I'm with telstra and not telecom.
insane: well i only asked for the customerlink thing to start on the 21st and the lady was like that will happpen on the 21 or 22nd . atm I'm at the friends place that I've setup to be the temporary number.
